Adam Oller is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Oakland Athletics (MLB). The Pittsburgh Pirates selected him in the 20th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.

Oller, a native of Conroe, Texas, attended Northwestern State University and played baseball there. He played collegiate summer baseball for the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Falmouth Commodores in 2015.

 

Oller was selected in the 20th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He pitched for the rookie-level Bristol Pirates, where he had a 4.45 ERA in 13 outings.

Oller pitched for the Low-A West Virginia Black Bears last season, posting a 1.59 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 45.1 innings thrown over 17 games.

Oller divided the 2018 season between West Virginia and the High-A Bradenton Marauders, with a 6.29 ERA with 68 strikeouts in 73.0 innings pitched in 29 games for both clubs. On November 6, 2018, he was released by the Pirates organization.

 

Oller joined with the Windy City ThunderBolts of the independent Frontier League on January 4, 2019. He made four appearances (all starts) for the Windy City Cubs, going 2-1 with a 0.67 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 27.0 innings.

 

Oller signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on May 27, 2019.

 

He finished the season with the Single-A Augusta GreenJackets, where he had a 5-6 record, 4.02 ERA, and 93 strikeouts in 17 appearances.
