Adrian Morejon Garcia (born February 27, 1999) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres. In 2019, he debuted in the major leagues.



Morejón was voted the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after competing in the 2014 15U Baseball World Cup. In that year, he played for Mayabeque in the Cuban National Series. In October of that year, he left Cuba.

In July 2016, Morejón agreed to an $11 million deal with the San Diego Padres. In 2017, he made his professional debut with the Tri-City Dust Devils and the Fort Wayne TinCaps, earning a combined 3–4 win-loss record with a 3.86 earned run average (ERA) in 13 starts.



He was 4–4 with a 3.30 ERA in 13 starts with the Lake Elsinore Storm in 2018.

The Amarillo Sod Poodles were his first stop in 2019. The 2019 All-Star Futures Game will include Morejón.

Morejón’s contract was picked and he was promoted to the top leagues on July 21, 2019. That day, he faced the Chicago Cubs in his major league debut. Morejón was 2–2 with a 4.66 ERA in nine games in 2020, striking out 25 batters in 19.1 innings (4 starts).

After experiencing a left forearm injury, Morejón was forced to leave his April 11, 2021 start against the Texas Rangers. Morejón will have Tommy John surgery on April 20 and will miss the rest of the 2021 season, according to the team.
