He attended the University of Missouri after high school and played football there for the Missouri Tigers.



He played in all 13 games in 2017 after redshirting his first year at Missouri in 2016. He recorded 29 receptions for 415 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2018, he was back at Missouri as the starter, but a season-ending injury ended his campaign. With 43 catches for 466 yards and six touchdowns in nine games, he finished the year with impressive numbers.

In 2019, he played in 11 games as a junior and led all Mizzou receivers in touchdown catches with six catches. On his 26 targets, he averaged 11.8 yards for the touchdowns, for a total of six. He decided to declare for the 2020 NFL Draft rather than using up his final year of eligibility after the 2019 season. He completed his collegiate career with 98 catches for 1,187 yards over three seasons, 23 receiving touchdowns in just 33 games, and 23 receiving scores overall.
