Alec Bohm Contract, Net Worth and Salary

Alec Bohm

Bohm was taken in the first round, third overall, of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft by the Philadelphia Phillies, who had been without a quality third baseman since Scott Rolen was sold in 2002.

He signed with the team on June 12, 2018, for a reported signing bonus of $5.85 million.

Bohm was supposed to follow in the footsteps of outfield prospect Adam Haseley, and conclude the 2018 Minor League Baseball season with the Class A Lakewood BlueClaws, according to Phillies director of scouting Johnny Almaraz.

Bohm started the 2018 minor league season with the Gulf Coast League’s Rookie League GCL Phillies, where he had six hits and two RBIs in 12 at-bats.

He was promoted to the Class A Short Season Williamsport Crosscutters on June 25 after only three GCL games.

Bohm’s journey through the Phillies’ farm system was cut short on July 12 when he was hit by a pitch, severing a nerve in his knee.

With a shin contusion, he was placed on the injured list and was photographed wearing a walking boot. Williamsport reactivated Bohm on August 20 after he missed nearly a month of the season due to injury.

Bohm batted for the Crosscutters in 29 games and 107 at bats. With 12 RBIs and five doubles, he batted 224.

MLB.com listed Bohm as the number 50 prospect in baseball heading into the 2019 season, while Baseball America ranked him as the number 65 prospect.

Before being promoted to the Class A-Advanced Clearwater Threshers on April 30, he batted .367 with nine doubles, three home runs, and 11 RBIs in his first season with Lakewood.
