For the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, Alec Ingold plays fullback in American football. He is 1.85 m tall and 107 kg in weight. He played football and won the Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year award as a senior at Bay Port High School. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where from 2015 to 2018 he played NCAA football for the Wisconsin Badgers.

He made eleven starts for Wisconsin over his college career. He started out as a linebacker before switching to running back and then fullback before his sophomore season. He split snaps with Austin Ramesh for two seasons before taking over the primary responsibilities his senior year.

Ingold was granted a spot in the 2019 Senior Bowl following his senior year. At the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine, he was the only genuine fullback invited. His performance at the combine was a 4.89-second 40-yard dash, 16 repetitions of the bench press, a 34-inch vertical jump, and a 116-inch broad jump. He earned an internship with Oracle Corporation before his first NFL season, just in case he didn’t make the final roster.

On May 3, 2019, Ingold signed a non-drafted free agent contract with the Oakland Raiders. For the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2020, Ingold represented the Las Vegas Raiders. He committed to the Miami Dolphins on March 17, 2022, for a two-year, $6.5 million deal.
