Alek Manoah, born Alek Isaac Manoah is a professional baseball player of Cuban descent, known to play in the position of a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team.

Alek grew up in Florida where he was born on January 9, 1998, in the city of Homestead. Alek attended South Dade High School in his birth town. He played baseball for the school baseball team after which he continued at West Virginia University where he played college baseball for the University. 

Before he graduated from high school, Alek played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game at Wrigley Field. He also played collegiate summer baseball in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Chatham Anglers. During the 2018 season, he was named to the Golden Spikes Award.

During the 2019 MLB draft, he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. He signed with them for $4.55 million. He made his professional debut that year playing with the Vancouver Canadians of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League.

He could not play in any game in 2020 as the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Blue Jays promoted him to the major leagues in 2021 and he made his MLB debut on May 27, 2021.
