He attended the University of California Los Angeles after high school, where he played his freshman and sophomore seasons. He was a significant contributor to field goal coverage and was selected for the 2019 Fall Academic All-MW pick. As a senior in 2020, he took part in two contests and started at left tackle against Nevada.
