He attended the University of California Los Angeles after high school, where he played his freshman and sophomore seasons. As a junior in 2019, he played in seven games for the Bulldogs and started on the offensive line against Hawai’i, Utah State, and San Diego State. He was a significant contributor to field goal coverage and was selected for the 2019 Fall Academic All-MW pick. As a senior in 2020, he took part in two contests and started at left tackle against Nevada.
