Football wide receiver and return specialist Alex Erickson plays for the National Football League’s Washington Commanders. He stands 1.83 m tall and weighs 88 kg. He attended Darlington High School, where he played high school football. After his high school career, he had amassed 3,856 yards and 57 touchdowns on the ground, 3,648 yards and 37 through the air, 170 tackles, and 14 interceptions.

As a senior, he was selected to participate in the WFCA All-Star game and was honored as the Wisconsin State Journal Small School Player of the Year. After accumulating 2,489 total yards of offense, he was named to the first team of the state as a defensive back and the first team of the conference as a defensive back and quarterback.

For the University of Wisconsin-Wisconsin Madison’s Badgers team, he played NCAA football. He graduated from Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management in December 2015. As an undrafted free agent in 2016, Erickson signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. He achieved his first professional game with 100+ receiving yards in October 2019.

After being released in August 2021, he signed with the Carolina Panthers in September of same year. Erickson made a commitment to participate in games for the Washington Commanders on May 4, 2022. On September 1, 2022, he was added to the practice squad after being discharged on August 30.
