Alexander James Jackson, professionally known as Alex Jackson is one of the professional baseball players in the MLB. He plays as a catcher and outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. He has been playing for the Brewers since April 2022.
Alex was born and raised in San Diego California on December 25, 1995. He was a baseball player in high school at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego County, California. Whiles in high school, he played in the Under Armour All-America Baseball Game at Wrigley Field.
In 2014, before he completed high school, he was ranked by MaxPreps as the best high school prospect in the 2014 class. He also won Baseball America’s High School Player of the Year Award.
Alex was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the first round of the 2014 MLB draft. He agreed to play for them forgoing his earlier intention to go play college baseball at the University of Oregon.
He signed with the Mariners and started his professional career that season with the AZL Mariners. He was assigned to spend the 2015 season with the Clinton Lumber Kings. The Mariners traded his contract in November 2016 to the Atlanta Braves. He was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in April 2022.
