Meet Alex Craig Lange an American professional baseballer who was born on October 2, 1995. Alex was an adopted child to parents or guardians Renee Lange and Craig Lange. Alex currently plays for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball.



Alex was assigned to the Erie SeaWolves when he first joined the Tigers on July 31, 2019. With almost 27 games under his belt, he went 5-13 with a 5.45 ERA and 94 strikeouts.

He was a member of the football squad at Louisiana State University. Following his college career, he was selected in the 30th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Chicago Cubs.

His early years were spent at Lee’s Summit West High School in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Renee once had an expressed concern about the baseball life of her adopted son who is now a professional. “In Alex’s biological family there are professional baseball players,” Renee said. “So when he was born his biological mom did tell me and his dad, Craig, ‘if he picks up a ball, make sure you foster that.’
