Andrew Benintendi is an American professional baseball left fielder for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB for the Boston Red Sox from 2016 through 2020.

In Madeira, Ohio, Benintendi attended Madeira High School. He batted.564 as a senior for the Mustangs baseball team, with 12 home runs, 57 RBIs, and 38 stolen bases.

After hitting.564 with 12 home runs, 57 RBI, and 38 stolen bases, he was named 2013 ACBA/Rawlings National High School Player of the Year and First Team All-American.

Following his senior season, he was named the Gatorade Ohio Baseball Player of the Year and earned Second Team All-America accolades from Baseball America and MaxPreps.

Andrew was voted Division III Player of the Year twice by the Cincinnati Enquirer, and he was a three-time All-State selection and a four-time First Team All-Cincinnati Hills League selection during his high school career.

Benintendi has 199 career runs scored, 213 career hits, 166 career RBI, a.542 career batting average, and 112 career stolen bases, which puts him in second place in Ohio high school baseball.

In high school, he also played basketball, scoring 25.5 points per game and earning Division III Co-Player of the Year honors from the Cincinnati Enquirer.
