American football guard Andrew Stueber plays for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He is 153 kg and 2.01 m tall. He graduated from Darien High. He joined the most highly regarded recruiting class in the history of Michigan when he declared his commitment to the school in June 2016.
He was regarded as the No. 4 player in the state of Connecticut and a four-star prospect by ESPN. He played football for the University of Michigan’s Michigan Wolverines team from 2017 to 2021 after graduating from high school. He tore his ACL during training camp as a junior in 2019, missing the entire season.
He was named the 2020 Connecticut Player of the Year by the Walter Camp Football Foundation when he was a senior in football. He contributed to the offensive line having the third-fewest tackles for loss (27) and the fewest sacks allowed (10), as a graduate student in 2021. He is a finalist for the Joe Moore Award.
After the season, he was selected for the media’s first-team All-Big Ten team and the AFCA’s second-team All-American team. The New England Patriots selected him in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In August 2022, he was added to the reserve/non-football injury list.
