Andrew Vasquez’, born Andrew Jude Vasquez plays professional baseball as a pitcher for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team. Andrew has been with the Blue Jays since March 2022.
Andrew had his amateur career at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California and also at the University of California in Santa Barbara and Westmont College.
During the 2015 MLB draft, the Minnesota Twins drafted him in the 32nd round of the draft. Andrew signed with them and made his professional debut that season after he was assigned to play with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast Twins.
In the 2016 season, he was made to play for both the Class A Short Season Elizabethton Twins and the Class A Cedar Rapids Kernels. Andrew spent the 2017 minor league season with the Cedar Rapids and with the Class A-Advanced Fort Myers Miracle.
Andrew spent the 2017 offseason playing for the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League. He was assigned to play with the Fort Myers, the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts and the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings the following season.
Andrew made his MLB debut on September 1, 2018, for the Twins. In August 2021, the Twins traded him to the Los Angeles Dodgers. He became a free agent in November that year and in March 2022, he signed a one-year contract worth $800,000 with the Toronto Blue Jays.
