Football player Anthony Barr plays outside linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He is also extremely tall at 1.96 m and 117 kg. As a Loyola High School student, he participated in football and track. He was recognized as an All-State running back for the Loyola Cubs football team as a junior after rushing for 1,890 yards and 20 touchdowns.
He got scholarship offers from a variety of organizations, but in January 2010, after weighing Notre Dame’s and other schools’ offers, he chose UCLA as his school of choice. He took part in collegiate football, playing for the UCLA Bruins. Because to his team-best 10 sacks for 66 yards, he received the Lott IMPACT Award.
He was the first UCLA sportsperson to win this award since Kai Forbath was selected to the USA Today’s first team All-American in December 2013. Barr was chosen by the Minnesota Vikings with the ninth overall choice in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. 2018 saw his selection to his fourth straight Pro Bowl. He was included on the COVID-19 list for reserve players by the Vikings on July 30, 2020, and was then activated four days later. He was placed on injured reserve in September 2020 following a Week 2 pectoral muscle tear. On August 3, 2022, Barr pledged his allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys.
