In 2015, he briefly played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He was drafted out of the University by the Seattle Mariners in the 18th round of the 2015 MLB draft. He signed with the Mariners and received a $70,000 signing bonus.
Anthony made his professional debut that year he was signed with the Everett AquaSox. In 2016, he pitched for the Bakersfield Blaze and in the 2017 minor league season, he played with the Modesto Nuts before being promoted to the Arkansas Travelers. He was traded in August 2017 to the Tampa Bay Rays.
He made his Rays debut that season with the Montgomery Biscuits. After the 2017 season, the Mariners reacquired him from the Rays for an international signing bonus slot. The Mariners selected his contract and promoted him to the major leagues in 2020. He made his MLB debut on July 24, 202,0 when the Mariners played against the Houston Astros.
