Antonio Gibson is in his third year with the Washington Commanders. Although Gibson played as a return specialist and wide receiver during his time at college, he entered the 2020 NFL Draft as a running back prospect and was selected by the Washington Redskins in the third round (66th overall).

On July 22, 2020, he signed a four-year rookie contract and has since exuded excellence and tenacity in the competitive sport.

Gibson before becoming a pro in the NFL, started his career at Eagle’s Landing High School in McDonough, Georgia. He was a multi-sport athlete who was not only on the school football team but did well in basketball and track as well.

Gibson had a solid career and received the offensive player of the year award from the Henry Daily Herald as a senior.

After high school, Gibson attended East Central Community College in 2016 and played two seasons for the school team.

During his two years at East Central, he finished with 50 receptions, 871 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns. In addition, he had 27 kick returns for 554 kick-return yards, and he rushed for 249 yards.

He transferred to the University of Memphis and played for the Memphis Tigers from 2018 to 2019. He recorded 44 receptions for 834 yards and 10 touchdowns in his two seasons, as well as 369 yards on the ground and four scores and 647 return yards, and a touchdown.

In Monday’s 32-21 victory over Philadelphia, Gibson caught all three of his receptions for 14 yards while rushing 14 times for 44 yards and a touchdown.
