American pitcher Trevor J. Megill, who plays for the Minnesota Twins in Major League Baseball, was born on December 5, 1993. He has prior MLB experience with the Chicago Cubs. San Diego Padres selected him in the seventh round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft.

The San Diego Padres selected him with the 207th overall pick in the 7th round of the 2015 MLB Draft, and he later signed with them.

Megill divided the 2015 season between the Tri-City Dust Devils and the AZL Padres, with a combined record of 2-0 and a 3.16 ERA in 31.1 innings. Megill missed all of the games in 2016 because of problems with bone spurs.

He divided the 2017 season between the Lake Elsinore Storm, Tri-City, and the AZL, with a 5-0 record and 2.63 ERA in 27.1 innings.

He divided the 2018 campaign between the San Antonio Missions, Lake Elsinore, and the AZL, with a combined record of 2-1 with a 3.35 ERA across 37.2 innings.

He divided the 2019 season between the El Paso Chihuahuas, Lake Elsinore, and Amarillo Sod Poodles, with a combined record of 2-2 and a 3.86 ERA across 60.2 innings.

Megill was taken off waivers by the Minnesota Twins on November 30, 2021. Megill, though, was not extended a contract by the Twins and turned free that day. Megill re-signed with the Twins on a minor league contract on December 5. Megill has his contract chosen by the Twins on May 21, 2022.
