As a tight end for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League, Armani Rogers plays professional football. He weighs 102 kg and stands 1.96 m tall. He went to Alexander Hamilton High School and played football there, finishing his senior year with 1,433 passing yards and 18 touchdowns and 431 rushing yards and six more.

As a three-star recruit out of high school, he made the commitment to enroll at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where he played college football for the UNLV Rebels football team. He redshirted his true freshman season and made nine starts as a redshirt freshman.

He transferred to Ohio University in 2020 to continue his graduate studies while playing football for the Ohio Bobcats. He mostly took part in offensive package plays during his first season in Ohio, rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns and throwing for 48 yards and one score. Rogers used the additional year of eligibility granted to college athletes in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic to return to Ohio for a second season.
