He played in the Australian Football League (AFL) before switching to the American National Football League.

St Kilda selected him in the 75th round of the 2010 AFL Draft from the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup. In the seventh round of the 2011 AFL season against Carlton, he made his AFL debut. After that, he was added to the roster for the round 16 game against Port Adelaide but was later changed to an emergency. He was affected by shin splints toward the end of the campaign.

At the end of the 2015, he was removed from the list. He received a scholarship offer from the Auburn University football team in November of 2017. Additionally, he had been training with ProKick Australia at the time in order to transition from Australian rules to American football.
