After he completed high school, he enrolled at Maple Woods Community College where he played college baseball for the college’s baseball team. During the 2012 MLB draft, he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 27th round of the draft. He made his professional debut that year with the AZL Royals.
In the 2013 season, he spent it with the Idaho Falls Chukars and he played for both the Idaho Falls and the Lexington Legends in the 2014 season.
