He participated in football while attending the University of Southern California and was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Jackson spent his childhood in Phoenix, Arizona, and attended North Canyon High School.
He was a football team member at North Canyon High School, where he played both defensive and offensive line, in addition to being on the school’s basketball and track and field teams.
As a high school senior in Arizona, Jackson was considered a five-star recruit and a top collegiate prospect in the state. He ultimately decided to play college football at the University of Southern California rather than accept offers from Washington or Arizona State.
During his time at USC, Jackson participated in all 39 school games, making 25 starts. At the conclusion of his junior year, Jackson was chosen to be in the first team of All-Pac-12 Players.
