He participated on both the basketball and football teams while attending Matignon High School. He attended ASA Collegiate after high school and played college football there for two seasons.



He continued his football career with the LSU Tigers after transferring to Louisiana State University. He participated in all 13 games during his rookie season at LSU, starting two of them. He participated in 13 games during his final season. He received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Louisiana State University in 2020.

Following the 2020 NFL Draft in April 2020, Traore was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. On September 5, 2020, he was released and added the next day to the practice squad. In January 2021, he committed to the Bears under a reserve/futures contract. He was released by the Bears on August 24, 2021. He was picked up off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars the next day.
