One of the top football players from Paso Robles High School has committed to play for an NFL franchise.
The Baltimore Ravens added 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver Bailey Gaither to their 90-man roster on July 27. Gaither was a standout at San Jose State.
Gaither earned Player of the Year honors from The Tribune as a senior before graduating from Paso Robles High School in 2015.
His college career at San Jose State saw him catch 135 passes for 2,227 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Gaither caught 24 passes for 328 yards and four touchdowns while playing for the Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL in 2022.
Gaither was signed to a spot in the Green Bay Packers preseason training camp even though he went undrafted in 2021. Before camp ended, Gaither made the decision to retire, but he quickly changed his mind and opted to play football again a few months later.
Gaither will battle for a spot on the Ravens’ roster for the regular season after signing with them.
