American football guard Ben Bredeson plays for the National Football League’s New York Giants (NFL).

He played collegiate football at Michigan. Bredeson attended Arrowhead High School, where he earned first-team All-American recognition from MaxPreps and USA Today and was voted the Gatorade High School Player of the Year in the state of Wisconsin.

Bredeson began playing football in the seventh grade. His father was a former center for Illinois State. He made the varsity team his freshman year at Arrowhead High School.

He was chosen for the first team of the state team as a junior. As a senior, he was once more selected for the All-State first team and was recognized as a first-team All-American by USA Today and MaxPreps.

In addition to being awarded the Gatorade High School Player of the Year in Wisconsin and receiving the Joe Thomas Award as the best offensive lineman in the state of Wisconsin at the conclusion of the season.

Bredeson was selected to play in the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game as one of the top high school seniors in the country.

Bredeson was moved from offensive tackle to guard during his first season at Michigan; he had never played guard in high school.

Both the coaches and the media selected Bredeson for the All-Big Ten offensive second team after the 2017 campaign.

Both the coaches and the media again selected Bredeson to the All-Big Ten offensive second team after the 2018 campaign.

After the 2019 campaign, Bredeson was selected to the All-Big Ten offensive first team by coaches and the media. The Walter Camp Football Foundation also named him to the second team of All-Americans.

Bredeson was dealt to the New York Giants on August 31, 2021, along with a 2022 fourth-round selection, a 2023 seventh-round pick, and a 2022 fifth-round pick.

After Nick Gates hurt his leg in week 2, he made his Giants debut against the Washington Football Team.

He started his first game of his career against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3.

He suffered a hand injury during the game, and the New Orleans Saints scheduled him to sit out the next week.

After Shane Lemieux suffered an injury in the first preseason game, Bredeson was designated the starting left guard for the 2022 season in Week 1.
