Ben Niemann, an American football linebacker with the National Football League’s Arizona Cardinals, was born on July 27, 1995. At Iowa, he played collegiate football.

Due to his father’s employment as a football coach, Niemann moved around a lot as a child and was born in Des Moines, Iowa. Football and basketball were his sports of choice while he was a student at Sycamore High School in Sycamore, Illinois.

Niemann joined the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent, and after training camp, he was included on the team’s final 53-man roster. On September 9, 2018, he played on special teams in the season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, marking his NFL debut.

In 16 games played, Niemann finished the regular season of 2019 with 56 tackles, a pass defense, and a fumble recovery (one start).

Niemann recorded six tackles throughout the postseason, including a tackle and hit on Jimmy Garoppolo of the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV victory to force an error on third down.

During the 34-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3 of the 2020 campaign on Monday Night Football, Niemann recorded his first career sack on Lamar Jackson and recovered a fumble that Jackson had lost.

On June 16, 2022, Niemann signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals.
