Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste plays in the National Football League for the Washington Commanders. He is 1.91 m tall and 91 kg. He attended Cégep du Vieux Montréal for both his high school education and football career. After high school, he received a scholarship offer to play for the University of Michigan’s Michigan Wolverines.
He participated in 12 games for the Wolverines as a freshman in 2017, but a hamstring injury forced him to sit out as a sophomore. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of Michigan in just two years, and in 2019 he transferred as a graduate student to the University of Minnesota.
He maintained his football career while spending two seasons with the University of Minnesota’s Minnesota Golden Gophers football team, playing in 18 games and making 59 tackles. In the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Washington Commanders Football Team selected St-Juste with the 74th overall pick. The Toronto Argonauts also selected him later, in the sixth round of the 2021 CFL Draft.
He committed to the Commanders on a four-year rookie agreement in May 2021, and he made his NFL debut against the Los Angeles Chargers in the season’s first contest. The Commanders also selected him, and he made four tackles but also allowed six catches, resulting in a 20-16 loss.
