He was signed to play with the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 66th overall selection of the 2016 Major league baseball draft at a $1.1million contract. He was later promoted on July 29 2019 to play in the major leagues where he recorded his first major league hit, a single against Brad Keller of the Kansas City Royals.
