Boogie Basham Jr. plays football for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. Since he was often dancing as a child, he went by the name Boogie. He stands 1.9 meters tall. He was born on December 16, 1997, to Carlos Basham Sr. and Crystal Basham in Roanoke, Virginia.

He went to Northside in Roanoke, Virginia. As a senior, he recorded 76 tackles and seven sacks. He made the choice to play collegiate football at Wake Forest University after high school. He played collegiate football for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons team at Wake Forest University.

After sitting out Wake Forest’s 2016 freshman season, he participated in all 13 games and had 24 tackles in 2017. He recorded 64 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2018 as a junior. He resumed his studies at Wake Forest in 2019 and got going.

He declared that 2020 would be his final academic year on December 21, 2019. The Buffalo Bills selected Basham with the 61st overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft. On May 12, 2021, Basham fully vowed his allegiance to the Bills.
