Bradley Chubb’s Parents: Meet Aaron Chubb and Stacey Chubb

Bradley Chubb

At Hillgrove High School, Bradley Chubb played both linebacker and defensive end, and as a senior, he assisted the Hawks in advancing to the Georgia 6A quarterfinals.

On June 24, 2013, he made a formal commitment to attend North Carolina State University. Duke, West Virginia, Wake Forest, East Carolina, and other schools had also made offers to Chubb.

Chubb played only sparingly as a rookie, largely on special teams. Before his sophomore season, he made the move from outside linebacker to defensive end, and before the start of the season, he had replaced the starting lineup.

In the 2018 NFL Draft, Chubb was predicted to go in the first round. Various estimates indicated that he would either go to the Indianapolis Colts at choice number six or within the top five (as high as first to the Cleveland Browns). Chubb listed Von Miller and Khalil Mack as guys who he models his play after during the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine.

On April 30, 2021, the Broncos picked up Chubb’s fifth-year option, guaranteeing him a salary of $12.72 million for the 2022 campaign. After having ankle surgery, he was put on injured reserve on September 22, 2021.

On November 27, he was put into service. On November 1, 2022, the Broncos dealt running back Chase Edmonds, a 2023 first-round pick (a San Francisco pick), and a 2024 fourth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Chubb and a 2025 fifth-round pick. He subsequently agreed to a five-year, $110 million extension with a guaranteed $63.2 million.
