In 2013, the Indianapolis Colts decided to take a chance on McManus and sign him as an undrafted free agent. He was a member of their team that won Super Bowl 50 by defeating the Carolina Panthers and was crowned champions.

As of 2022, he is the only player on the Broncos roster who was part of the team that won the Super Bowl. McManus participated in football both on the collegiate level at Temple and professionally for the New York Giants.

The career marks for most points scored (338), most field goals made (60), and most field goals attempted were all held by McManus at Temple (83).

After leading the team in scoring as a senior in 2012, he was selected to the first team All-Big East because of his performance.

He had a long kick of 68 yards, 17 of his punts were downed within the opponent’s 20-yard line, and he had an average of 45.1 yards per punt. In addition to that, McManus had 40 touchbacks out of a total of 56 kickoffs.

McManus signed with the Indianapolis Colts after going undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft; however, he was later released from his contract before the start of the season.

In 2014, he began the year with the New York Giants, where he participated in four preseason games before being sent to the Denver Broncos.

After they let Matt Prater go, he was brought in to take over as their starting kicker.
