Braxton L. Garrett is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Miami Marlins. The Marlins selected him seventh overall in the 2016 MLB draft.
Garrett was regarded as one of the top prospects available in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. Garrett agreed to contract terms with the Marlins for a $4,145,900 signing bonus.
In 2017, he made his professional debut with the Greensboro Grasshoppers of the Class A South Atlantic League, posting a 1-0 record with a 2.93 ERA in four appearances before undergoing Tommy John surgery in June, effectively ending his season.
