The New York Jets locked up their final draft pick on the same day that the team’s first-year players reported for training camp. Breece Hall, a rookie selected by the Jets in the second round, has just signed a four-year deal with the team, as reported by Rich Cimini.
The total value is $9 million, and there is a signing bonus of $3.7 million included. Since Hall has just signed a contract, he will be able to take part in any and all of the team’s activities, including practice. The Jets were down to their last unsigned rookie from their draft class, and Hall was that player.
According to Cimini, the Jets have guaranteed all of Hall’s salary for the third year of this contract, which is one of the reasons why it took so much time to finalize.
During his time at Iowa State, Hall had a fruitful career, as evidenced by the fact that he rushed for 3,941 yards and scored a total of 50 rushing touchdowns over the course of three years. Additionally, he hauled in 82 receptions for 734 yards and added six more touchdowns to his stat line.
In only three years, he amassed a total of 4,675 yards from scrimmage and scored 56 touchdowns, earning him a sixth-place finish in the Heisman voting in 2020 and a tenth-place finish in 2021.
