While playing with Hartford and the Isotopes of Albuquerque, he had an average of 268 at bats with 17 home runs in 114 games in 2018.

He returned to Albuquerque at the start of the new season. His contract was selected on May 17th, and he was promoted to the major leagues the following day. That night, he made his major league debut against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Rockies’ 2020 season was cut short by the pandemic, and Rodgers only played in seven games before going on the injured list with persistent difficulties in his right shoulder.
