Brent Rooker

Brent Rooker is an American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2020 with the Minnesota Twins.

At this year’s Major League Baseball draft, the Minnesota Twins selected Rooker with the 35th overall pick. For $1.935 million, he inked a contract with the Minnesota Twins.

Before being promoted to Fort Myers Miracle, Rooker was assigned to Elizabethton Twins. He hit.281/.364/.566 with 18 home runs, 52 RBIs, and a.930 OPS in 62 games for both teams.

With the Chattanooga Lookouts, he spent the year. In 130 games, he hit.254/.333/.465 with 22 home runs, 79 RBIs, 32 doubles, and 150 strikeouts, good for second in the Southern League.

In 2019, he played for the Rochester Red Wings of the International League, where he was named an All-Star. He slugged.281/.398/.535 with 14 home runs and 47 runs batted in across 65 games.

The day after the season ended, on October 10th, he was named to the 2019 WBSC Premier 12 team of the United States of America.

He had a slash line of.300/.333/.800 in 20 at-bats during the event, blasting three home runs and driving in five runs. He was selected as the tournament’s best-designated hitter.
