He was chosen by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2014 NFL Draft’s fourth round. He participated in collegiate football at Virginia.

Urban is the 26th Canadian to be selected in an NFL draft. Prior to switching to football, Urban was a well-known player on one of the best international hockey teams.

On May 20, 2022, Urban returned to the Baltimore Ravens. He had previously played for the Chicago Bears, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Tennessee Titans.
