Denver Broncos quarterback Brett Rypien is a professional. He weighs 92 kg and is 1.88 meters tall. He attended Shadle Park High School, where he spent his four years of high school playing quarterback. Kellen Moore’s single-season and lifetime records for passing yards and touchdowns, as well as his marks for passing yards and completions, had all been eclipsed by the time he graduated.

He earned honors and a 4.0GPA as he graduated from Shadle Park early. He had a four-star rating from Scout and Rivals right out of high school. In April 2014, he made the decision to enroll at Boise State University, and he started going there in January 2015.

He participated in college football at Boise for the Boise State Broncos. He also finished as the FBS leader in passing yards. Rypien signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in April 2019, following the NFL Draft. He was released by the Broncos in September 2020, and the following day he was added to the practice squad.
