Brian Serven is an American professional baseball catcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022.
The city of Palm Desert in California is Serven’s birthplace. He attended Palm Desert High School, where in 2012, as a junior, he was the driving force behind the Aztecs’ run to the title of the California Interscholastic Federation.
He received his education at Arizona State University and represented the Arizona State Sun Devils on the collegiate baseball team.
He was a member of the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2014 when he played collegiate summer baseball.
The Colorado Rockies selected him in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft in 2016. On May 18, 2022, he made his first appearance with the Rockies.
Serven became the first player in the history of the major leagues to record his first two professional hits with two multiple-run home runs in the same game when he blasted two home runs for the Colorado Rockies in his second game with the team on May 21, 2022. The game was played against the New York Mets.
