Bryan Cook is an American football safety who was born on September 7, 1999. He currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL).
Before transferring to Cincinnati, he spent four years playing college football at Howard. Cook spent his childhood in Cincinnati,
Ohio and completed his high schooling at Mount Healthy High School, also located in Mount Healthy, Ohio. As a senior,
he was named to the first team in the All-Southwest Ohio Conference after recording 35 tackles, three interceptions and a fumble recovery in nine games for the defence while also catching four passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns on offence.
This led to him being named to the first team of the All-Southwest Ohio Conference. There was not much interest in Cook as a college football player,
and Howard University was the only school that made a scholarship offer to him. Cook has decided to play for Howard.
Both Howard Bison and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats fielded collegiate football teams while James Cook was a player for them.
While he was a senior at Cincinnati, he was recognized by the American Athletic Conference as a member of the first-team All-Conference and the second-team All-Conference.
In the year that he spent as a redshirt, he was moved from cornerback to safety, and after the conclusion of the regular season, he participated in the Birmingham Bowl in the year 2020.
In his first full season with Cincinnati, he recorded 26 tackles and two pass breakups while on the defensive line.
