Bryan Garcia is a professional baseball pitcher for the Detroit Tigers in the United States. In 2019, he made his Major League Baseball debut with the Tigers.

Garcia attended Christopher Columbus High School, also known as the Lawn Mower, in Miami, Florida, where he was a starting pitcher for the baseball team.

He has an 8–1 win–loss record with a 1.23 earned run average as a senior in 2013. (ERA).



He was not taken in the 2013 MLB draft out of high school, so he went to the University of Miami to play college baseball for the Miami Hurricanes.

In 2016, he won the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award after going 2–0 with a 1.89 ERA in 38 innings as a reliever for the Miami Marlins. He also established the Miami career record for saves (18).

Garcia was chosen 175th overall in the 2016 MLB draft by the Detroit Tigers.

He signed with the Tigers and made his professional debut with the Connecticut Tigers of the Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League, before being promoted to the Class A Midwest League’s West Michigan Whitecaps, where he compiled a 0–2 record and 2.41 ERA in 18.2 total innings.

In 2017, he was promoted to the Lakeland Flying Tigers of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, the Erie SeaWolves of the Class AA Eastern League, and the Toledo Mud Hens of the Class AAA International League from West Michigan.

Garcia threw to a 5–3 record, 2.13 ERA, and 1.05 WHIP in 52 games between the four organizations.
