George Runie “Buck” Farmer (born February 20, 1991) is a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds in Major League Baseball (MLB). He formerly played in Major League Baseball with the Detroit Tigers (MLB).



Farmer began his collegiate career at Georgia Tech in 2010. In 19 appearances during his first season, he went 5–1 with a 3.63 ERA. He earned his first career victory in four innings of relief against Wake Forest on March 14, giving no runs on two hits.

As a sophomore, Farmer went 11–3 with a 2.82 ERA in 16 starts. He went 8–1 in conference play. No pitcher in the league had more than eight conference victories in 2011.

The 28-year-old right-hander, who was chosen by the Tigers out of Georgia Tech in 2013 and made his MLB debut the following year, became a father in 2019, and 2020.

Farmer’s daughter, Evelyn Rose Farmer was born on November 5, 2019, while Forrest James Farmer was born on 4 November 2020.

Suffice to say, after trying to start a family for two years, the couple was overjoyed with having two kids in the space of two years.
