C.J. Cron Siblings: Meet Kevin Cron and Carly Cron

Christopher John Cron Jr., also known as CJ Cron, was born in the United States on January 5, 1990. He plays first base and is a designated hitter. He currently plays for the Major League Baseball Colorado Rockies (MLB).

On December 21, 2019, Cron and the Detroit Tigers reached an agreement on a one-year, $6.1 million contract. After that, he was then traded to the Colorado Rockies.

On February 15, 2021, Cron and the Colorado Rockies reached an agreement for a minor league contract that included a Spring Training invitation. On March 20, Cron’s name was included on the 40-man roster and he signed a $14.5 million, two-year contract with the Rockies on October 5.



Cron has previously played for the Los Angeles Angels, Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, and Detroit Tigers. He is  Right-handed in his baseball games.

Cron got his high school education, at Arizona’s Mountain Pointe High School in 2008. In the 44th round (1320th overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft, he was selected by the Chicago White Sox. However, he decided to enroll in college instead of signing a contract and was a student at the University of Utah, where he participated on the Utah Utes baseball team.

Cron was selected by the Angels with the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. With the Rookie-level Orem Owlz of the Pioneer League that year, he made his professional debut.

Cron was raised alongside two younger siblings. Kevin Cron and Carly Cron are the siblings of C.J Cron. The family consists of many athletes as their father Chris Cron is a former baseball MLB player.

Kevin Cron is an American first baseman with the SSG Landers of the KBO League, He was born on February 17, 1993. Prior to this, he played baseball with the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball.

Carly Cron who is the only girl among the siblings is also a volleyball player. She plays as an outside and opposite hitter in her school at Mountain Pointe.
