Born on November 2, 1999, Caden Sterns is an American football safety for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL).

Sterns began each of Texas’ 13 games as a true freshman in 2018. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors after compiling 62 tackles, four interceptions, and one sack.

He was also voted the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. Sterns had 59 tackles and one sack in nine games during his sophomore season in 2019. Sterns opted out of the rest of the season and declared for the 2021 NFL Draft on November 30, 2020.

Caden Sterns comes from a long line of football ancestors, including three brothers who all carry a football gene. His youngest brother Josh is a wide receiver with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, and his other brother Jerreth Sterns also plays wide receiver.

His oldest brother Jordan played safety for Oklahoma State from 2013 to 2016. Jerreth played at Houston Baptist University before transferring to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers for his final season so he could play with quarterback Bailey Zappe, another member of his squad.
