One of the linebackers for the National Football League’s New England Patriots, Cameron McGrone is a professional football player. He stands 1.85 meters tall and weighs 107 kilograms. He attended Indianapolis, Indiana’s Lawrence Central High School. There, he played football. After injuring his ACL the previous year, he played in seven games as a senior, recording 84 tackles and four sacks.
In 2018, he participated in the U.S. Army All-American Game. He made a commitment to play college football at the University of Michigan. He participated in college football for the University of Michigan’s Michigan Wolverines squad.
During his first season at Michigan in 2018, he participated in one game. In 2019, he was a redshirt freshman and started the season as a backup before switching to the starting lineup. He played in 13 games overall, including 10 starts, compiling 66 tackles and four sacks. In the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he was selected by the New England Patriots.
He committed to a four-year rookie contract in May 2021. At the start of training camp in July 2021, he was added to the active/non-football injury list. In August 2021, he was put on the reserve list. He was released by the Patriots in August 2022, and the following day he was added to the practice squad.
