Casey Scott Sadler is an American professional baseball pitcher who currently plays for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball. Sadler was born on July 13, 1990.



He began his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and went on to play for the Tampa Bay Rays, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Chicago Cubs.

Sadler received his high school diploma from Ripley High School, located in Ripley, Oklahoma, and then went on to study for two years at Western Oklahoma State College.

Sadler was chosen by the Pirates in the 25th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft. He made his first appearance in a professional game with the Low-A State College Spikes.

After the completion of the 2013 campaign, the Pittsburgh Pirates decided to include Sadler on their 40-man roster. In 2014, he was sent down to Triple-A level to play for the Indianapolis Indians, and on April 12, 2015, he made his debut in the main leagues.

Because of Tommy John’s surgery, Sadler was sidelined for the entirety of the 2016 season. On December 6, 2018, Sadler agreed to terms with the Tampa Bay Rays regarding a minor league contract.

The deal to send Sadler to the Dodgers in exchange for Nathan Witt was finalized on July 3, 2019, between the Rays and the Dodgers.
