Cavan Biggio is a professional baseball player based in the United States of America. He takes the positions of second baseman, third baseman and an outfielder for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team.
Cavan had his non-professional baseball career at St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas and the University of Notre Dame. Before he graduated from the University, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named a league All-Star.
The Toronto Blue Jays drafted Cavan out of college in the 5th round of the 2016 MLB draft. He signed with the Jays and was given $300,000 as a signing bonus. He made his professional debut that year with the Vancouver Canadians of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League.
That same year of his professional debut, he also played for the Lansing Lugnuts of the Class A Midwest League. The Jays assigned him to spend the 2017 season with the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League. In the 2018 minor league season, he was with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats of the Double-A Eastern League. Cavan made his MLB debut on May 24, 2019.
