The Toronto Blue Jays baseball team’s Cavan Thomas Biggio is a professional baseball player. For the Blue Jays, he alternates between playing second base, third base, and outfield. He stands 1.83 meters tall and weighs 91 kilograms.

Cavan attended St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas, and participated on the baseball team there. He was chosen by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 29th round of the 2013 MLB draft after high school, but he declined to sign with them and instead decided to enrol at the University of Notre Dame to play baseball in college.

He participated in the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Harwich Mariners’ collegiate summer baseball program in 2014 and 2015 when he was recognized as a league all-star that year. The Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 MLB Draft. A $300,000 signing bonus was provided to him once he joined them.

That season, he was awarded an All-Star for Vancouver and made his professional debut with the Class A-Short Season Northwest League’s Vancouver Canadians. Later, he was given the task of playing with the Class A Midwest League’s Lansing Lugnuts for the remainder of the 2016 campaign.

He was promoted to the main leagues by the Blue Jays in 2019, and on May 24, 2019, he appeared in his first MLB game for the Jays against the San Diego Padres. To avoid salary arbitration in March 2022, the Blue Jays and Cavan agreed on a $2.123 million contract.
