Chad Steven Henne is the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the American Football League. In the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Miami Dolphins to join their team.

Henne participated in collegiate football at the University of Michigan, where he became only the second true freshman to start at quarterback in the program’s annals.

Henne directed the Wolverines to a victory over Florida in the Capital One Bowl during his senior year with the team.

During his time as quarterback for his high school team, he threw for a total of 7,071 yards and 74 touchdowns. During both his freshman and junior years at Wilson,

his football team won the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 1 championship. His first title came in 2000 when he was a freshman, and his second came in 2003 when he was a junior (2002).

The 2002 Wilson Bulldogs team that Henne coached concluded the regular season with a perfect record of 10 wins and 0 losses.

After starting for Wilson High School’s varsity football team during his freshman year, Henne was honoured with a spot on the first team of the Pennsylvania All-State Football team in 2000.

He participated in the 2004 United States Army All-American Bowl with the East team and played on that team.

He made the announcement when he was a senior about his intention to attend the University of Michigan and play for the Wolverines.

Following the completion of his junior year, he whittled down his list of potential colleges to the following five: Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee, Tennessee, and Penn State.
