The Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League have chosen quarterback Chad Steven Henne as their starter.
His new team, the Miami Dolphins, picked him up in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft. When Henne enrolled at the University of Michigan to play college football,
he made history by becoming the second true freshman to start as quarterback in Michigan football history. In his senior season with the Wolverines, Henne led them to a victory over Florida in the Capital One Bowl.
NFL quarterback Chad Henne went to Wilson Senior High School in West Lawn, Pennsylvania, where he was active in four sports.
With his high school team as a quarterback, he threw for 7,071 yards and 74 touchdowns. His football teams at Wilson won Section 1 titles in their league during his freshman and junior years.
Both of his championships occurred when he was still a freshman: the first in 2000 and the second in 2003. (2002). Henne’s 2002 Wilson Bulldogs squad finished the regular season with a perfect 10-for-0 record.
Henne made the first team for the Pennsylvania All-State Football Squad in 2000 after starting as a freshman for Wilson High School’s varsity football team.
He was a member of the East team that he played for in the 2004 United States Army All-American Bowl. The revelation that he would be attending Michigan as a senior and playing football for the Wolverines came as no surprise.
After his junior year of high school was over, he narrowed his list of prospective universities to the following five: Miami, Michigan, Georgia, Tennessee, and Penn State.
