Chad Arthur Wallach is a Major League Baseball catcher who currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels.

He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft by the Marlins, and he debuted in the big leagues in 2017.

He previously played for the Cincinnati Reds and the Miami Marlins in the Major League Baseball (MLB).
Wallach attended Calvary Chapel High School in Santa Ana, California, and grew up in Orange, California.

He was drafted in the 43rd round of the 2013 MLB Draft, but he chose not to sign because he wanted to play college baseball at Cal State Fullerton.

With the Titans, Wallach hit .272 in 102 games over three seasons.

The Miami Marlins selected Wallach in the fifth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft after he batted .309 with 24 runs scored, 14 doubles, two home runs, and 32 RBIs as a junior.

Wallach signed a $343,900 bonus with the Marlins and began his professional career with the Short-Season Class-A Batavia Muckdogs, hitting .226/.294/.267 in 43 games and 146 at-bats.

He began the 2014 season with the Class A Greensboro Grasshoppers (for whom he was a mid-season South Atlantic League All-Star) before being promoted to the Class A-Advanced Jupiter Hammerheads, where he batted .322/.431/.457 between the two teams.

Wallach and Anthony DeSclafani were traded to the Cincinnati Reds for Mat Latos on December 11, 2014.

He had a batting average of .240/.363/.410 in 2016 for Pensacola.

On August 25, 2017, the Reds promoted Wallach for the first time to the major leagues. On August 27, 2017, he made his Major League debut, starting at catcher and going 0-4 with two strikeouts in a 5-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
