Chandler Wooten was undrafted in the 2022 NFL draft but was signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent. Wooten started off his football career at North Cobb High School and racked up 124 tackles and 15 tackles for loss during his senior season in 2016.
Chandler Wooten, who stands 6-3 and 232 pounds, participated in 43 games during his career with the Tigers. During that time, he recorded 140 tackles (80 of which were solo), 9.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, five passes defensed, and one fumble recovery.
He was the team captain last year and played in 13 games, making 94 tackles (54 of them on his own), five tackles for loss, one interception, and one pass defense.
In addition, Wooten was placed on the SEC Academic Honor Roll and was the recipient of the Shug Jordan Award, which is named after the Hall of Fame Coach who guided Auburn to the national championship in 1957.
Wooten’s accomplishments during the previous season earned him both of these honors. Because of concerns about COVID-19, he decided not to compete in the 2020 season.
